Earwel Ear Drop is used to treat ear infections. It works by killing microorganisms that cause infection. It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause redness, swelling, and itching. It also works by blocking pain signals to the brain to decrease the pain sensation.
Earwel Ear Drop is for external use only. Never use drops if the seal is broken before you use it for the first time. Wash your hands before using it. Follow the instructions given by your doctor and use it in the dose and duration suggested by the doctor. Do not stop using it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better.
The medicine is generally safe to use with no common side effects. It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way it works but talk to your doctor before using it if you have used a similar medicine before and had an allergic reaction. This medicine should only be used if it is clearly needed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

- This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.
- How it works:
- Earwel Ear Drop is a combination of four medicines: Lidocaine, Beclometasone, Clotrimazole and Chloramphenicol which treat ear infections. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain thereby decreasing pain sensation. Beclometasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the ear red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins.
